MyHR product updates: March 2024

Written by MyHR team | Mar 12, 2024

We’re always looking for ways to improve our HR platform, so you can be sure your people processes are sleek and sturdy, and your organisation is up-to-date with all employment law and industry best-practice.

Here's an overview of the latest MyHR product enhancements and new features we've added recently.

Updated ‘Ask Us’ functionality

Autosave drafts

Our ‘Ask Us’ chat function is a vital connection between you and the MyHR support team, so we’ve made it even better by saving your messages automatically as you go - so you’ll never lose a draft question.

You can even log out, go grab a coffee, switch computers and log in again, and your draft message will be there, right where you left off.

You’ll be the only one who can see the draft, so you don’t have to worry about privacy. We'll clear out unfinished drafts after 7 days.

Autosave drafts are available on brand new questions as well as replies in an existing thread.

Closing requests and search function

If you're the type that likes to keep your request list tidy, or just need to remove something that you've resolved, you can now close questions that you've submitted.

You can view closed requests in the 'Ask Us' bubble where you find the chat threads. You’ll have full visibility of the request and can easily generate a new question if you need more support from the MyHR team.

We've also added search, so you can easily find a request thread if you have a bunch on the go. The search allows you to filter requests with any matching terms in the list, e.g. an employee's name, a date, or additionals.

Send attachments to the MyHR team

If you've got a screenshot of a software issue or want to supply a document as part of a chat with the MyHR team, you can now send attachments quickly and securely.

Either drag-and-drop the file or browse your folders to upload documents and images.

Currently, attachments can only be added to question-related chat threads, visible to you as the submitter and the MyHR team.

If the chat is related to a specific request, e.g. an employment agreement or a disciplinary process, you’ll still need to upload the supporting material to the request folder.

Resend employee invites

We know that employees can sometimes miss their MyHR invite emails, or a new hire might take longer than 5 days to think about a role they've been offered, so you can now resend invite emails through the MyHR platform.

We've also extended the invite expiry window from 5 to 10 days to give employees more time to accept.

Using the original invite link to log in

Forgotten the MyHR log-in link and found the email with the original invite link you accepted? Now, that link will direct you straight to the log-in screen, so you can enter your details.

If you set up your original password in a hurry and you've forgotten what it is, never fear, you can request a password reset.

Add Canadian employees to MyHR

If you do business in the Land of Maples, you can now add Canadian employees to the MyHR platform and supply Canadian-specific information like social insurance numbers and bank accounts in the correct format. You can also access the on-call support of our experienced Canadian HR team.

If you’ve got a Canadian business or know someone who does, reach out to us and we’ll set up a full demo.

Psst: Don’t forget our expert HR support

If you aren't already aware, any owner and manager users can get practical and compliant advice from really good humans in real-time.

From day-to-day admin to personal grievance management, MyHR’s team of HR experts provides you with highly-customised levels of support.
